Jackie Pinfold
Executive and Career Development Coach
“I believe that those we coach know best what they need – our job is to help them to search within and find answers to the career issues they face by asking the right questions and getting them to dig deep.”
Industry Experience
My career has spanned various aspects of the marketing and business development world, directly with the likes of PwC, KMPG, BDO Stoy Hayward, HM Treasury and the National Lottery, and indirectly with many other B2B organisations. I’ve spent the last 12 years working with numerous start-up and scale-up tech businesses, understanding their business direction and marketing needs in order to find them CMOs, VPs of Marketing and Marketing Directors who can take their businesses to the next stage.
As an established team leader and in my executive search career, I’ve mentored and coached many levels of professionals to help them realise their ambitions and become the best they can, while positioning themselves for continued success.
This was made possible by my own strategic communications and change management experience, which has given me a solid understanding of where they are, where they want to get to and what they need to do to get there.
Approachable, relatable and empathetic, I can also be tough, realistic and challenging to those who engage me as a coach.
Qualifications and Training
I have a Masters degree in English from the University of Liverpool and an MBA from the Open University. One of the first Chartered Marketers, I studied for my CIM diploma at the University of Central England and I have now achieved the ILM 7 in Executive Coaching. In 2024, I qualified as a Thomas PPA practitioner in psychometric testing.
I’m also a qualified teacher of English (University of Reading), having spent five years out of industry, teaching 11-18 year olds. I have built up some great, relevant experience to bring to coaching and for the benefit of my coachees.
Thomas X Actuate PPA Practitioner
One of my greatest loves is sharing time with my two grown up sons, whether on the ski slopes, at triathlon competitions, hiking up a mountain or cooking and baking. An outdoors enthusiast, I’m an avid road cyclist and love lakes and mountains (though not to cycle up!). My partner and I have conquered North Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Toubkal, and we spend much time in the French Alps. I love the Arts, especially the theatre, and am a keen reader.

"You must do the hard work too; coaching requires absolute honesty, some vulnerability, a clear view of what you want to achieve and an open mind to all possibilities. Jackie creates the space for you to feel safe and supported. She asks the right questions, listens carefully and when revelant, reminds you gently how far you’ve reached, gives you tools to help you as you progress through your mindset, and understanding how to get over mental or personal roadblocks."
