New beginnings…

I'm still here in France enjoying a new dump of snow and some fresh powder skiing but, while stretching out the joys of Winter, when I come down off the mountain I take delight in seeing signs of new life. Forsythia coming out, blossom blossoming and primroses aplenty here on alpine pastures. Not to mention the oeufs de Paques in every supermarket! Spring is a time for new beginnings and it's exciting...

One of my coachees told me recently that coaching has brought about a new beginning for him. He'd been considering various options, we even came up with a couple more. He explored and talked about the possibilities each offered and the rewards, intrinsic and extrinsic, allowing him to screen out some of the options. The final stage was to narrow down his choices until he was able to select the optimum given where he's at in his life and career.

I could see the effect that making this decision had on him physically - the smile of course but also he stood taller and looked relieved and refreshed, reenergised. He's now gone into planning mode and is excitedly briefing designers on his brand and website, articulating his product offering and talking to contacts he can partner with for added value.

If you find yourself with too many choices, none of which seem viable, perhaps coaching is for you. I'm always open to a 30 minute exploratory chat, no obligation.

Easter in the French supermarkets and new flora springing into life.
